Brenda joined the firm in 2017 and has been an integral part of the firm’s litigation, corporate and business law practice groups. Her contributions to the firm’s success in landmark cases earned her an Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star award two years in a row. In response to growing demand for local, competent and caring representation, Brenda is using her business development and marketing skills to develop a family law and immigration law practice, with a focus on serving the needs of the African diaspora in Indiana and nationwide. A native of Togo, in West Africa, Brenda is fluent in French, has German proficiency, and also speaks Ewe and Mina, languages spoken in Benin, Togo and Ghana.
Before emigrating to the United States, Brenda spent two years as a journalist in Togo while completing her Associate Degree in Liberal Arts. She started her career in the Advertising and Marketing Department of the Indianapolis Star, and went on to run Marketing, Business Development and Communications for two local architectural firms before entering law school. In law school, Brenda completed externships at Rolls-Royce Corporation and the City of Indianapolis Office of Corporation Counsel, in addition to competing in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria.
Brenda is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
